Teeth in a Day
They don’t make them like that used to, and when it comes to dentures, that’s a good thing! In our practice, we still do offer traditional dentures but we also have options which last longer and are much more comfortable.
As anyone with regular dentures will tell you, they don’t feel like your normal teeth. They tend to move around while eating and talking and they sometimes make you sound funny when you talk. We can usually avoid those issues these days when we attach dentures into a set of implants. Depending on how many implants we use, the dentures can either “snap” in and out of your mouth, or they can be made to permanently stay in your mouth, which is the closest thing to having actual teeth.
You may have seen advertisements for “Teeth In A Day” or “All on 4” dentures. Our patients often ask if this is too good to be true. The answer is that it depends.
Believe it or not, in the right situation, we can sometimes replace all of your teeth with implant retained dentures in one day.
However, there are many reasons why that might not be the best option for you. If done in the wrong situation, it could backfire and have severe consequences. Also, unfortunately, we see that some practices are too quick to recommend replacing your natural teeth with dentures when saving your teeth might be a better option.
If you would like to have an honest conversation about replacing your teeth with implant retained dentures, we would be happy to offer you a complimentary consultation. It never hurts to get another opinion, right? This can be a big decision and we want to make sure that you have all of the information needed to make the decision that will be right for you.
